About Us

Family Eye Care and Contact Lenses have been serving the Placer and Sacramento communities since 1982. Originally started in Loomis, the practice eventually moved to its present location in Roseville in the year 2000. Founding doctors, Dr. Peter Klem & Dr. Fred Guarcello established their first practice in Loomis.

Dr. Paul Gollender joined the practice in 2005. He started a non-profit charity organization called, “Eye Love You Back” in 2020 to help the underserved population in Roseville and nearby Sacramento communities. The annual Valentine’s Day event helps children and the underprivileged to see better with free glasses.

Dr. Guarcello retired in March of 2020. Dr. Carlo G. Castro joined the practice in 2020. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Janelle Santa Maria from the Bay Area VA system this year.
